[2024 Update] Dr. Robert Hadden Criminal Trial: Hadden Found Guilty on All Counts

January 24th, 2023: Robert Hadden has been found guilty on all counts

The Robert Hadden criminal trial has reached a verdict.

Robert Hadden has been found guilty and has been charged on ALL four (4) counts of enticing women to travel across state lines so he could sexually abuse them.

After a widely panned no-jail plea deal was reached by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in 2016, New York’s most prolific  serial sexual predator Robert Hadden was indicted again by the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York in September 2020.

The new federal prosecution of Hadden involves new patients who were not part of the original prosecution that occurred several years ago.

Robert Hadden Faces Life in Prison for Sexual Abuse of Patients

The two-week criminal trial of Robert Hadden has resulted in the predator OBGYN being found guilty on all charges.

Hadden faces the potential of life in prison for his crimes.

For decades, Robert Hadden used his position of power to sexually abuse a countless number of women.

He evaded responsibility for his crimes with the help of Columbia University officials and other hospital administrators who helped cover-up his abuse and silence victims.

Though there is no escaping for Hadden now, Columbia University and the hospitals that allowed Hadden to abuse his patients are facing civil lawsuits filed on behalf of survivors.

If you have any information on Hadden’s abuse or Columbia’s cover-up, you are welcomed contact us anonymously.

The DiPietro Law Firm has years of experience fighting on behalf of survivors and victims, and we ensure that any inquiries made will remain confidential.

Robert Hadden Criminal Trial Findings: Robert Hadden Abused a Position of Trust

Over the course of more than two decades, Robert Hadden used the position of power and trust that Columbia University gave him, by serially sexually abusing and assaulting a countless number of women and girls under the guise of medical care.

Hadden’s victims often included pregnant women, women who recently gave birth, and minors.

The typical profile was a woman who had no, or very limited, experience with an OBGYN.

Make no mistake about it, Robert Hadden’s abuse was known, and enabled, by Columbia University and its administrators.

Even after receiving countless reports of Robert’s Hadden’s abuse, Columbia’s admins were complicit in allowing him to continue seeing, and abusing, patients in an unsupervised manner.

Even when patients spoke up to the university officials, they were lied to, gaslighted, and told that the university had no prior complaints of Hadden’s abuse.

All of which is complete bullshit.

As far back as in 1994, a letter written by an OBGYN Chairman to a patient reveals that Columbia knew of Hadden’s abuse.

Even after Hadden was arrested by the NYPD in his office for trying to lick a patient during a bogus pelvic exam, a top university administrator, and member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, signed off on allowing Hadden to return to work without performing even the basic investigation into his criminal activity.

Robert Hadden: “Yes, I plead guilty.”

Transcripts from 2016 NYS State Court- proceedings document the moment Robert Hadden pled guilty to the felony sexual abuse of his patients:

The Court:  Have you discussed this case with your attorney?

Hadden:  Yes, I have.

The Court:  And have you had sufficient time to thoroughly discuss your decision to plead guilty?

Hadden:  Yes, I have?

The Court:  And are you pleading guilty because you are guilty of the charges?

Hadden:  Yes.

Sexual Abuse Committed by Robert Hadden was Enabled by Columbia University Administrators & Staff

The DiPietro Law Firm, led by Founder Anthony T. DiPietro, is the only firm in the country who has been litigating these cases for the past ten years.

Back in 2012, before most people heard of #MeToo or the name “Larry Nassar ” outside of being an actual gymnast, Mr. DiPietro had already established himself as the pioneer in the field of sexual exploitation and abuse cases against major institutions like Columbia University.

Simply put, nobody has the knowledge, compassion, and results that attorney Anthony T. DiPietro has exhibited over the course of his career when litigating sexual exploitation and abuse cases.

As a result of winning his most recent $236 million settlement against Columbia University and Robert Hadden, Mr. DiPietro was chosen as one of the country’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators, and holds the honor of being one of the “Top 10 Trial Lawyers” when it comes to litigating cases involving Womens’ Rights.

“If you’re looking to work with an attorney who has compassion, experience, and a track record of proven results, there is only choice—call Anthony,” Jane Doe #15 (client testimonial).

Columbia University & Staff Covered Up Hadden's Sexual Abuse by Paying Off Women for Cheap and Making Them Sign NDAs

Columbia’s catch-and-kill scheme was discovered and called out by our law firm many years ago.

We discovered that when patients reported being abused by Robert Hadden, Columbia’s Administrators would secretly refer the women to Columbia University’s legal department.

The legal department would then offer the victims (most of whom didn’t even have a lawyer of their own—or just had a “regular lawyer” who didn’t know what they were doing) a meager settlement deal, contingent on the signing of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Unfortunately, most people who sign an NDA think they can’t tell anyone else what happened to them.

That is simply not true, but most “regular lawyers” out there don’t even know this.

In fact, an NDA cannot be used to prevent a person from reporting what happened to them to another lawyer, an accountant, a member of the clergy, the police, a prosecutor, or at any civil or criminal proceeding.

In other words, if you were forced to sign an NDA in exchange for a settlement, you can still talk about what happened to you to any of the people mentioned above.

Prosecuting Robert Hadden criminally is just one part of the fight to hold all parties legally accountable.

Civil lawsuits are continually being filed by The DiPietro Law Firm against Columbia University, and other medical facilities, for enabling and protecting Robert Hadden.

For the past decade, our Founder Anthony T. DiPietro, Esq., has been suing Columbia University to hold them accountable for covering up the decades of Robert Hadden’s sexual exploitation and abuse.

From the early years, Mr. DiPietro made a conscious and deliberate decision to put his clients’ comfort level first.

While you have likely read the stories of several of our firm’s high-profile victims and survivors who have gone public in an effort to hold Columbia accountable, there are also hundreds of other women, girls, and men, who Mr. DiPietro represents that you haven’t read about.

Every one of our clients matters to us.

Regardless if you’re a public figure, celebrity, or just a regular human being hoping to keep your privacy and anonymity intact, we’re the right firm for you.

We truly understand the importance of earning and maintaining our clients’ trust, and have been 100% successful in protecting the identity of our clients who wish to pursue their cases anonymously.

We’re here to help guide you through this process in a way that most lawyers and law firms can’t even begin to understand.

The reasons for this are quite simple:

  1. Mr. DiPietro understands the complex emotions and challenges that victims and survivors wrestle with when deciding to come forward. As a result, he has committed himself to doing everything possible to protect and support his clients throughout this process. One of the ways he has achieved this, was through building a team of dedicated Client Success Specialists, who work directly with each client, in order to provide a level of support and comfort that isn’t available at any other law firm.
  2. The laws in New York State allow victims and survivors of sexual abuse to file their claims anonymously—thus protecting their identities and private lives while they’re seeking to hold Columbia and Hadden accountable. But even that, is sometimes not enough. So, Mr. DiPietro filed and has won, the only court decision in history that prevents a sexual predator (Robert Hadden) from obtaining copies of his victims’ private medical information, and testimony about the abuse that they suffered.
  3. In an effort to make sure that the abuse committed by Robert Hadden never happens to anyone else, Mr. DiPietro and his clients have forced Columbia University to adopt a series of Policy Changes, including allowing nurses and other co-workers to be recognized as “whistleblowers” and being allowed to report cases of suspected abuse anonymously—without having to worry about being fired for “doing the right thing”.

If you or a loved one suffered sexual abuse by Robert Hadden, you are eligible to file a legal claim anonymously.

In addition, those who witnessed Hadden’s abuse are encouraged to share their stories with us anonymously.

All consultations are 100% free and confidential.

The DiPietro Law Firm has:

  • Recovered over $236 million against Columbia University and Robert Hadden
  • Forced Columbia University to enact policies to increase Patient Safety
  • Helped pass four (4) different laws that provide victims and survivors with a path to justice – including New York’s Adult Survivors’ Act and the Gender Motivated Violence Act

The only reason the DiPietro Law Firm uses “Dr. Robert Hadden” in some of our content is so that victims are able to find us when searching for help.
