GMC Forced to Recall Automobiles With Defective Ignition Switch

General Motors Corporation (“GMC”) has recalled 3.5 million vehicles it previously sold to consumers that contain a defective ignition switch which can cause affected automobiles to lose power while they’re in operation.

By knowingly selling these defective automobiles, GMC has committed a massive fraud upon both the United States Government – and the Pubic at large. In a rarely exercised use of governmental power, the U.S. District Attorney has filed Criminal Charges against GMC for manufacturing and selling GMC Automobiles with a defective ignition switch.

The GM defective ignition switch has been responsible for countless numbers of automobile crashes, catastrophic injuries, and still unknown numbers of human deaths.

“Mystery Crashes” in GM Cars Can Be a Result of the Defective Ignition Switch

One of the more difficult things that can happen in the aftermath of a loved one’s death is for the surviving family members to be left not-knowing what actually caused their loss.

For some, it can be impossible get closure until the truth has been discovered.

It is just now being learned that hundreds of deaths and serious, permanent disabilities, have been caused by a defective ignition switch in GMC cars and trucks.

The way to prove that a mystery crash was the result of a defective ignition switch is to simply examine the black-box in the car.

A sometimes unknown fact is that most newer model cars contain a black-box that records important data about the operation of a vehicle – particularly when one is involved in a crash.

Performing an independent evaluation of this data has revealed that a large number of fatalities have been caused by the GM ignition switch defect which causes the car to lose power while it’s being operated.

If there’s a black-box, we’ll find it and help you get the answers you need.

  • How do the defective ignition switches cause GMC automobiles to crash?

The safety defect in GMC autos consists of an ignition switch that was designed and manufactured with too-low torque resistance which makes it easy for vehicles to unexpectedly “switch off” while in operation.

When an automobile is suddenly powered-off while being driven, it will disable the car’s airbags, power steering, and power brakes – greatly increasing the risk of death and serious injury for the occupants and anyone else in the immediate vicinity of the now out-of-control vehicle.
